W.I.P. - Doll for upcoming show
This doll is called "Dice Baby" and is a work in progress. This and hopefully another doll will be complete for a show I was invited to participate in. I'm very excited about it and will have more details about the show later.

Wire wrapped fuses
Found some time to work on some very small projects and this was one of them. Took some old fuses and wrapped them with wire, however, I was not successful in opening them up, so I used them in their natural state. They have a lot of potential for further experimentation. I'm always on the look out for new embellishments to add to my dolls.

Sumo Warrior
Here is an assemblage/art doll that I completed a few months back and just now posting. This doll is similar to the Mica doll in that they both have wooden dominos for their feet. My husband has all these great tools that I use in shaping some of these figures. Only if I put away the tools that I use! Sometimes that is hard to do.

Assemblage - Be My Angel
Finished up this assemblage angel a couple of days ago and I would like to point out that I did use one of the techniques I learned from last month! There are crushed egg shells lying beneath the heart. The body of the angel is an old brass plate that serves as a handle for interior sliding doors. If anyone knows the correct term for it, please let me know. The heart is out of clay. The head is an old rusted bottle cap I found while in Florida, and the wings are a thick plastic made to ressemble glass with mosaic on the front side. The base of the piece is an old brass light switch plate.

Florida Vacation
Back from a vacation down in Florida and it was a wonderful time. Loved Kennedy Space Center!!
Disney World was a first for the kids and myself. Many, many years ago I visited Disney Land in California and there is no comparison.
This is Cape Canaveral Beach and the kids first time ever to see the ocean!! My oldest is like a fish in water, but this was a challenge for her to swim in.
