Assemblage - Libby

I tried to mount her on a large board, but I just seem to be coming back to free swinging legs.
Her dress is cheese cloth that was used to wipe inks off printing plates(printmaking). They are used for a while until the cloth is saturated with ink and then it dries and is unusable for wiping, so this is my way of recycling. I've been trying to figure out ways to use the cloth and this worked well for me!

Another wonderful assemblage and I love the ink cloth - it looks fantastic! I would so love to make something like this, but I am a bit intimidated...

Thanks Renate!
I'd be happy to help you in anyway to get started on creating something like this. One of my biggest challenges and concern with assemblages is making the piece structurally sound. With that in mind, I try design it so that I am able to use screws or nails for that solid connection.
