Wire and Fiber Co-existing

It's been a while since my last blog entry, so I thought I would slow down and take some time to post my WIP.

Quilting Arts Magazine published a really interesting article about fiber artist Diane Savona. She produces salvaged textiles that are just amazing. She incorporates found objects in the most interesting way into her quilts.

After reading the article and drooling over her work, I thought why can't I use wire with quilting?! And so, the playing begins.

I should have a completed piece with wire and fiber to share with you in the next few weeks.
I do try to get an assemblage piece done here and there.

Your little cages with quilting are very cool! Looking forward to seeing how this proceeds.

I'm liking the direction you are going with this. Can't wait to see what you come up with. I too am fascinated by fiber and wire combos.
