Challenge #2

This home journal was done as a challenge promoted by Jen Worden . She has decided to do weekly challenges for 2008 and has invited all to join in. Each weekly challenge is posted on her website every Friday.
I was really intrigued with the home journal project because I used to work in the construction industry as a designer for a number of years, so instead of working with a house on blue print, it was great to construct it 3-dimensionally.
It could even be taken a few steps further in creating a shrine box by adding a bottom and some legs. Additional reinforcing would be need to be worked out.
Anyway, thanks Jen for the invite and look forward to more challenges.

Wow, I'm impressed. Love what you did. (I only did a silly little ATC for Jen's challenge!) Happy I stopped by to check out your blog. If you want to see mine: www.ronnas.blogspot.com

Thanks Jen!

Ronna, Thanks for visiting my blog and for the nice comment!
Last year I worked on creating different ATC's and believe it or not, the materials used to create the house journal came from an ATC technique found in 1000 Artists Trading Cards by Patricia Bolton.
I just feel in love with the technique and kept it in the back of my brain for a future project.

Thanks Judith!

Thanks Cynthia!
Yes, I did use the same magazine Jen used. I don't have all the issues, but I lucked out and had that one on the shelf! I just LOVE the way fabric, paper and machine stitching work together!!
