New Work

I finally had a chance to experiment with creating ACEO's with a different approach.
The base of the work is felt with collaged papers adhered on top. I've used pieces from old collagraph prints and they seem too work really well. Things don't seem to be coming together until you start cutting out your 2.5"x3.5" card. Each card cut is totally different. Both pieces have been inked, stamped and sewn on. I really like the effects of the sewing! I like both the free motion and regular stitching.

Red Landscape

I made this linoleum image about 4-5 years ago and I put it away until I came across it again just recently. I became very ambitious and decided to print with two colors. I forget how labor intensive it is to print by hand, but it was worth it!
I am originally form New Mexico and the mountains are always on my mind. I have several charcoal landscape drawings of Northern New Mexico mountains hanging in my home. It truely is Gods country and I miss it a lot! My family still lives there and we have property we purchased for retirement some day! Oh well, I still feel very connected.

"Numbers"

This is a mixed media piece. I was messing around with making paper have that worn look and drawing with stitching. It takes a little practice in controlling the machine for the stitching.
