Studio Work

Here are some of my dolls awaiting completion. Just waiting in limbo for me to feel inspired to finish them.

These are my wooden snowmen in progress. They are a nice size to work with!

Snowman Ornie

With the holiday season just around the corner, I thought I would start tackling some X-Mas ornies earlier this year. This wooden snowman was rusted and then adorned with wire, fibers and found objects. He measures about 3.5"x1". My wooden snowman came from http://www.wernerswood37.etsy.com/.

Domino Baby's

I was experimenting with wooden dominos and came up with these little guys.

Wire wrapped beads and charms have been added to dangle below the figure.

Small Assemblage Angels

I have a large jar of wooden dominos and they are finally being put to use. The angels wings are brass metal that have been treated to give off its unusual colors.

Assemblage - Libby

I tried to mount her on a large board, but I just seem to be coming back to free swinging legs.
Her dress is cheese cloth that was used to wipe inks off printing plates(printmaking). They are used for a while until the cloth is saturated with ink and then it dries and is unusable for wiping, so this is my way of recycling. I've been trying to figure out ways to use the cloth and this worked well for me!
