I went dumster diving in my husbands bin for wood scrapes he sets aside for the kids to use. I came across these two pieces of oak just calling out my name. The clay face was mounted on an old rusty flattened out bottle cap and the rusted wire was a gift from a friend.

This is an awesome piece. The look on the face is really fitting for some reason.
Your coiling technique on her arms is just divine .. .
also really love the effect of the plaid fabric.
More Carla Brilliance!

You did a fabulous job! Love it.
Thank you Judith! However, the fibers used are not plaid fabric, they are layeres of colored cheese cloth. I have a whole bag of colored cheese cloth waiting to be used.
Thanks Cathy!
Hi Cat
Thanks for the comment on my blog about my drypoint etching. It is the one and only I'm afraid, simply because I don't have any printing facilities. Would love to do more though. I find printmaking quite fascinating although I found drypoint much harder than I thought it would be.
Love your assemblages. So quirky and interesting.
