Pippa

"Pippa"

I know that some people ask me where I get some of my inspiration from and I thought I would share that with you in regards to Pippa.
The image below is art work by John Whipple titled "Balloon Girl."
I completely fell in love with her and mentally it was on my art bucket list of things to try out.
Of course I didn't have anything to use to create my version, so I patiently waited until I came across objects that I would use. Lucky for me, I found what I needed this past summer and it has taken me until now to complete. The original head was porcelain and fit just right until it hit the floor and smashed into a million pieces. Needless to say I was pretty ticked about that, but I painfully moved on and replaced it with the one she is currently sporting. What usually takes me the most time with my creations is the structural part of it. I am driven to make sure that it is solidly pieced together.

Thank you Sharmon, Penny and Rebeca!
I can't seem to take a descent photo of her. The lighting is wrong. I even tried outside, but still having trouble.
