Assemblage - Flutter

Flutter is a lot larger than I normally work and it measures about 15.25"x8"x3.25".  The wings are brass and have been treated to give it really cool colors. My favorite thing that I used for this piece is the faux snow behind the figure. The box it came in is actually labeled faux snow. All they are is soft shavings of plastic and they are really cool looking!

Another interesting creation of yours. I love looking at your work and look forward to each new post.

I can't remember if I read this when going through your earlier posts, but do you sculpt the faces yourself?

Cotton Picker - Thanks!! I do not sculpt my own faces. I use to do portraits a very long time ago and got so burned out, so I had distanced myself from doing faces!
In the past year, a few of my art pieces have some heads that I have sculpted. I would like to eventually get into sculpting my own faces!

missy majchrzak buckley - Thank you!

Renate - Thank you! I was liking the layers that came out in this piece too! It seems the more I pull a piece away from it's base, the more depth it creates.

Wow, I really like this one. The wings just set it free and love the softness of the "snow". Makes me want to go home and try new things. Great work.
