"Salvation"
Back in 2009, Salvation was the very first assemblage piece I had created. I just wish I had kept for myself!!
I foolishly placed it on Etsy with what I thought was a high price tag, and that would thwart anyone from purchasing it. Well, I checked my e-mail and found out that someone had purchased!
I was shocked that someone had payed that price for it. This piece now resides in the home of Rosie O'Donnell. Yes, it is the actress/comedian! Even though I'm sad that it is gone, I'm still excited to think that she lives with a star! Anyway, that was my small claim to fame! Thanks Rosie!

How exciting! It's wonderful to know that Rosie has such impeccable taste! I LOVE your work.
Holy cow, Carla! That's awesome! So is the doll. The colors pop and the design is "radiant". Rosie's got great taste!!
I had thought you have been making these assemblage pieces much longer...
How awesome to have your first piece immediately snatched up!
What a great story. So glad you started making your little creations!
Folk Heart - Thanks!
missy majchrzak buckley - Thank you! The only problem with reminiscing about past work is that you try to figure out how you moved out of that stage of creativity to where your are today.
Renate - Sometimes I feel like I've been doing it a lot longer.
Dirty Girl Art - Thanks! Back then I really needed to evolve my art into sometime thing else. I was getting pretty stagnant.
Rosie has such good tatse. l feel so honoured to have one of your piecesxxlynda
She is an amazing piece. I can understand why you wouldn't want to let this one go!
I think that is one of the hardest lessons to learn as an artist, "how much am I worth" and we tend to sell ourselves and our art short at first. It is a beautiful piece and hopefully well loved where she resides now. Thanks for sharing!
Congratulations ~ It is a wonderful piece ~ when I see your work ~ I want to try something like it ~ but need to stick to my focus of painting for now and collage ~ Wonderful work you are doing ~ ^_^
That IS bitter-sweet! It's a gorgeous assemblage, and Rosie had a good eye to snatch it up so quickly. Your work is wonderful!
Thank for all the awesome comments!!
